How to Disguise Your Discord Links
To disguise your link on Discord, enclose them in angle brackets “<>”. This way, links you send won’t have annoying previews. You can also use spoiler tags or icons.
Methods to Hide Links on Discord
- Using Angle Brackets:
- Step 1: Copy the external link.
- Step 2: Hide Link by typing <paste the link> before sending. The receiver won’t see a preview but can still click the hidden link.
- Using Spoiler Tags:
- Mark the link as a spoiler with || before and after the link.
Tricks to Enhance Discord Link Experience
Most Discord users dislike previews and may not click links, especially if directed out of Discord. You can also shorten links or turn off link preview in Settings to remove previews.
On mobile, go to Text & Images in App Settings and turn off "Show website preview info from links pasted into chat" to stop previews.
