Growing Timeline and Conditions
- To maximize growth rate, most herbs should start indoors in spring and move outdoors at 70°F.
- Starting later than recommended can slow growth significantly.
- Consider buying mature plants or using cuttings for midsummer or later planting.
Growing Specific Herbs
- Parsley prefers full sunlight and well-draining soil. It can be grown as an annual or biennial plant.
- Seedlings take 2-3 weeks to emerge and are generally ready to harvest within 2-3 months.
- Herbs can grow successfully in large pots with proper care and conditions. Optimal germination temperature is 70°F, so use a heat mat if needed.
