A standard US barrel of crude oil contains 42 gallons. This 42 gallons of oil amounts to 44 gallons of petroleum products. Petroleum products are things like gasoline, diesel, heating oil and jet fuel. 

From one barrel 19.36 gallons is made into gasoline, 10.04 gallons is for diesel, 3.91 gallons is for jet fuel, 1.72 gallons is for liquified petroleum gases, 1.68 gallons is for heavy fuel oil, other distillates amount to 1.24 gallons and other products makes up 6.80 gallons.
